Spinach

One of the hardiest vegetables, spinach is grown as a spring or an autumn crop, but quickly runs to seed in the long, hot days of summer. Sow in spring several weeks before last frost date; in autumn, sow right up to first frost. Seed is planted up to one-half inch deep; allow 3-6 inches between plants.
