This one is a must if you have trouble with beans. It is no work and never fail bean especially if you live in a hot climate. It matures early and beats the heat..

nice, thick green bean Review by Unknown

Overall Rating

I planted these as a fall crop and even though it was almost too late, they gave me a nice harvest before the frost. They are a nice, thick, roundish bean. My children liked the purple beans inside the pods! They eat them raw right out of the garden..

Fantastic Review by Unknown

These were great. They were definitely early and produced a VERY high yield. I had beans coming out of my ears and had to resort to leaving bags of them on neighbor's doorsteps. Tasted great raw or cooked..

Contender is a Champion! Review by KansasCrude

Overall Rating

Early, prolific and tasty. First time for Contender and it will be a mainstay. +2 weeks ahead of Blue Lake in my South Central KS. garden. Thats a considerable edge and the quality is terrific. Also replanted in July and produced well up until the frost although slowed down considerably late. Money!.

Tasty bean! Review by Krisden

Overall Rating

This bean was a very prolific producer. I ate a lot, and canned and froze quite a few as well. I also ended up giving some of the beans away, and everybody told me how good they tasted. I planted at the end of May and had a bumper crop of beans by early to mid July. The plants started to slow down in production by the end of July, and I ripped them out and replanted. It's now mid August, the plants are coming along nicely, and I expect to have another crop of beans by early to mid September. Highly recommended!.

Good, but fuzzy Review by Kate

Overall Rating

These beans taste good and where very prolific. However, they are so fuzzy that they made my mom and I very itchy while picking and weeding. Sadly, we won't be planting them again. .

Buy these beans! Review by Kate 6A

So prolific - they kept cranking out beans for months! I reseeded mid-summer, but I don't really think I needed to..
