Very Tasty Kohlrobi Review by Nick up North

I was introduced to this variety by a good friend. The Kohlrabi was very fun to grow and even more fun to watch grow. It even grows very well here in the northern most part of Maine where the growing season is rather short. The plant itself required very little care, a real pleasure to grow. It is now a staple in our garden. It is excellent both fresh and cooked. It was wonderful in our harvest veggie roast!.

We grow both the white and purple viennas. The white have a higher percent that grow to fruition and they grow faster as well, but the combination of the white and purple together at Market or in a CSA box (and on your plate) is wonderful. Highly recommend growing both!.

Kohlrabi is an underrated vegetable which should definately be grown more often! It has a lovely crispy sweet flavor with a versatile garden life, meaning you have a window of harvest time that you don't have to pick them all at once! I also had NO pest problems with Kohlrabi in the spring while worms and flea beatles were at so many of my other spring crops.
