Will try again Review by Unknown

Tried these in 2008. Loved the yields and the flavor. Had some mid/late heavy rains and ended up with huge problems with splitting, then rotting. Threw away more than half my crop. Am going to give them another shot in 2010..

Mmm good Review by Unknown

Our family loves the rich flavor of these tomatoes. They have become a standard in our garden. I have grown them for the last three years and will continue to do so. Last spring I gave my friends 12 different tomato plants to grow in their garden and this one was at the top fo their list too. Its great for salsa, eating raw, and canning..

excellent taste Review by Unknown

Taste is superb. It looks like a paste tomato, but it is not. Very juicy and delicious. Disease resistance is minimal. The first to succumb to late blight..

Disappointing yield and flavor Review by Wabbit

Overall Rating

I grew these last year in containers (California, Sunset zone 14/15, USDA zone 8b) and it didn't go well. I got one or two big tomatoes from each plant, and a few more medium tomatoes later in the summer. I found the flavor bland and unremarkable compared to, say, the Crnkovic or the Green Zebras I grew the same year.
I won't be growing these tomatoes again, unfortunately. .

Good yields, but bland Review by Wabbit

I was excited to try growing these, but unfortunately I didn't end up liking them. I got good yields in my garden (California Bay Area, Sunset Zone 14/15, USDA zone 8b,) but the flavor was unremarkable. They were very mild, and just nothing to write home about..

Spindly but Magnificent Review by El Gabacho Gris

Overall Rating

New Haven had a rotten year: very cold, late spring, cold, wet summer, torrents of water, no sun. Slugs, fungus, the lot. Planted anyway. These plants grew very tall and spindly - perhaps due to the conditions - and had a modest yield, but the flavor was superb: complex, juicy, deeply sweet with a hint of tang, and just beautiful on the plate. I intend to plant these again in 2012. Thank you for providing this delicious addition to my garden!.

Splitting Review by Tracy

Overall Rating

I had huge problems with splitting. Then, lost the plant due to gray mold. Was a giant producer and taste was good on the fruit that survived..
