| ANGLED GOURD (LUFFA GOURD, CHINESE VINING OKRA OR SPONGE GOURD)
Grown just like squash. Sow in place after last frost, or start indoors 2-4 weeks beforehand and transplant carefully. Do not let seedlings become root-bound in containers. Space the plants 18 inches apart. Trellising is a great advantage. Full sun, ample moisture, rich soil and a lot of heat are all the plants need to produce abundant fruits. Pick fruits when young and tender. If allowed to mature and dry, luffa sponges will form inside the fruits. 20 seeds per packet.
