Amish Cockscomb
Orral and Joan Craig discovered this variety growing in an Amish garden near
Arthur, IL. Beautiful large red heads on compact 1' tall plants. I first saw this
variety growing at Seed Savers farm in Iowa and was much taken by the color
and beauty.

Indiana Giant Cockscomb
Here is one amazing cockscomb with flower heads reaching up to 14" across; the sturdy plants look so beautiful proudly holding the burgundy-red blooms. This easy-to-grow plant has been grown by the Amish at Rockville, Indiana, for many years, originally brought here from Lancaster, PA. Amaze your friends and neighbors.

Flamingo Feather Celosia
New!
(C. spicata) 3-4' plants produce beautiful fuchsia-pink flower spikes that
excel as cut flowers or dried flowers. A drought-tolerant plant that is easy
to grow and provides a splash of color that made it popular in old-fashioned
cottage gardens.

Himalayan Celosia
New!
The most stunning flower we grew in 2007. The plants themselves are
very ornamental, with red and green variegation on the leaves, making
them look like huge coleus plants. Leaves are edible, and good cooked
like spinach. Plants are colorful all summer, and grow to about 5' tall and
produce masses of bright red flowers in
late summer and continue until frost.
Start early for flowers, as these take
over 100 days to bloom, but are one
of the prettiest plants in the garden
even when not in bloom. From the Himalayan
mountain regions.
