(Nicandra physaloides) This plant comes
from Peru, and is sometimes called "Apple
of Peru." 3' tall plants of this variety have
beautiful green leaves that are splashed in
lemony-cream color! Bell-shaped flowers
are lavender in color. Easy to grow. In olden
days this plant was grown to help repel insects,
hence the name.
