| TOMATILLO Can be started indoors a few weeks before last frost date of spring, and set out after danger of frost is past. Sow in containers, cover lightly, and do not allow soil to really dry out. Set out into moderately rich soil. Staking may improve fruit quality (by keeping fruits from touching the ground and possibly rotting in moist conditions) but is not really necessary. In hot-summer climates, a second sowing is possible, by direct-seeding in early summer for a fall crop. 30 seeds per packet. | ||
