Belize Pink Heart

We had just entered the quaint mountain town of San Ignacio, Belize, on
a balmy December evening, when we spotted a large farmers' market on
the edge of town; we stopped, and I was in vegetable heaven! This is one
of the jewels we collected that night; the fruit are medium large, burgundy
pink and heart shaped. The flesh is a real treat, being very
tender, juicy and perfect in flavor. Fruit sets on rather
early. I will always remember that delicious winter
tomato in tiny Belize.
