An attractive “Black” tomato developed in the old Soviet Union.
Great tasting fruit are dark and intensely colored, being a deep
maroon. Very sweet and luscious, these are hard to not eat right
in the garden. A classic that is well worth growing if you like real
flavor.

Incredible flavor Review by Unknown

I tried these back in the 90's. The seeds came from the Seed Saver's Russian collection. Growing on sandy bottom land they were the most
incredibly flavored tomato I'd ever tried. The
color mix was unusual (dark green mixed with
purple) but the flavor was unbeatable. I've
tried them without much success on clayey ridgeland. I've also tried Carbon, Paul Robeson, Black Krim, Black from Tula. None
have matched the flavor. If you can get them
to grow they're worth the effort..
