Beautifull, flowering, climbing vines that never produced a bitter leaf. used in salads all summer and often as a substitute for okra when i needed thickening. Yes, it is that mucilaginous..

Great Greens for Hot Areas Review by Unknown
Overall Rating
I would strongly recommend this green to anyone living in a hot area. Here in N CA it gets above 100 for weeks at a time in summer. Because it was so hot at planting time, I got 100% germination. The plants were vigorous and healthy, even in July, which was all over 100. Next year I'll plant them at least 9" apart & in richer soil. The leaves cook up quickly and are tasty. They almost seem to have been sprinkled with salt and vinegar. They're thick, which won't appeal to all. Try stir fry..

Excellent Review by Matt

Grew with vigor. Was very ornamental with the shiny leaves and flower buds. Will always have this going in the summer when true spinach isn't practical and could even place in a flower garden. Taste is a cross between spinach and mustard. Delicious fresh as well as saute or steamed..

My future gardens will never be without this delicious, and beautiful plant. I did learn that in my zone 5 high altitude garden, it needed the warm days of summer to germinate and begin to grow! Absolutely a wonderful plant. .

Vigorous & Tasty Review by Jesse

I grow these in Atlanta, GA. Taste great, better lightly sauteed than raw. I planted one plant 2 years ago; if i did not pull up the "100's" of seedlings each spring...you do the math. .
