Beautiful scalloped fruit are a lovely creamy-yellow with contrasting deep green radial streaks. Small fruit may not show streaking, and it can be variable. Stunning displayed with our other scallops! The flavor is delicious as a summer squash or is great baked in the fall. We are happy to offer this French heirloom again this year.

All these squash turned out lime green. None of the varied tones that were advertised..

None of mine got stripes either. They might have if any of them had been left on the plant long enough but they were too delicious for that! This squash needs no butter or salt, I like it baked in my cast iron casserole dish. Smooth flesh with a buttery texture melts in your mouth, my favorite summer squash. A note: if you pick them small when they are at thier tenderest and best they do not keep very long and are best used the same day. That said I wouldn't have a garden without them..
