Nice sweet fruit Review by Amei

This was my first time growing tomatillos. I should have planted them in a sunnier location as they grew tall and the fruit was only slightly larger than a cherry. Tonight I made a chile verde salsa and the recipe called for a little sugar. I left the sugar out and the salsa was still quite sweet. I will grow this variety again..

Easy to grow, good harvest, great flavor. Review by James III

1st time growing these in zone 5 (8 week indoors). Made lots of tasty salsa verde with these. Huge harvest! Many were still growing when killing frost came.
Out of 5 plants grow, 1 plant grew purely green tomatillos which weren't as sweet but were larger. Other 4 plants produced a mix of green/purplish tinged. Seemed to work best ripening them fully purple if picked slightly early and then sun ripened indoors by a window. Store very well on the countertop. Well over a month for me..

So much better than store bought Review by Unknown

I've never had sweet tomatillos from the store and these were a real treat to have in my salsa and sauces. The only ones that were a little sour grew later in the season.
Note on pests: tomato worms loved this fruit more than the tomatoes.

Didn't come up! Review by Lacudda

I split a pack of seeds with my father and we both tried our luck. He planted his 17 days ago and I planted mine 10 days ago. To date, no sprouts. We both planted the green tomatillo and three other tomato types, all of which sprouted in 8 days. Perhaps we got a bad pack? Or they need special treatment to sprout!.

Easy to grow, great taste Review by OC Gardener

These were extremely easy to grow. I started them indoors like tomatoes and my plant grew huge in no time. Lots of fruits though they were much smaller than expected. Having purple salsa was just plain cool!.

Good Germination Review by Mechelle

I haven't gotten these in the garden just yet, but started my seeds last week inside. Left for a little 4 day vacation, & came home to find 13 of the 15 I started had already come up to fairly good size plants. Will be transplanting them into bigger pots tomorrow! Very excited to watch them grown & then harvest :0) .

Good Sprouter Review by Mechelle

I havent got these fully going in my garden yet (I'm a bit behind but not concerned cause we have a long season here). But started these inside in seed starting mix & they sprouted in a couple of days. 13 out of 15 came up ~ so I'm very happy with that. Have them out to harden off & still doing really well! I'm putting these in a patio garden so I will let you know later how they do! I have had Dragon Tounge Beans going for a while & they are producing like wild fire in the patio garden! Wow!.

Very Pretty Plant Review by Rebecca

This is my first time growing tomatillo. I transplanted the seedling into the garden bed about a month ago and it is a little monster! What a happy guy... it's a really lovely plant, full and bushy, simply covered in pretty yellow flowers. Fruit is setting well and even if I'm not happy with the taste, I'll grow it again because it is just so pretty. .

not purple Review by Tina

These never turned purple even when fully ripe; I grew about eight plants. They tasted about the same as the regular green ones..
