I live in zone 5a (Central NY State.) It has been a hot and dry summer (and a early growing season...) These beets did very well, even with uneven watering.
Would definately purchase these seeds again..

Was very impressed! Review by Unknown

Last year was my first attempt with a no-till method. The ground was hard, sandy and had not been amended for over 8 years. Our weather is hot and dry for most of the season. I planted these late, didn't keep up a good watering schedule. They turned out wonderfully! I couldn't believe how sweet, crunchy, and wonderful flavor they had! They never got woody and I left them in till after the first frosts. I even left a batch sitting outside in the sun for a week and they were still quite good!.

My garden will never be without Bull's Blood beets again! The purple leaves are stunning and look fantastic growing next to a green leafed variety (like Detroits).
They germinated very well for me and taste wonderful!.

This was our favorite beet out of the four varieties we grew in 2010. The greens are delicious and the roots tasty whether picked small or large..

Sweet, tasty and abundant! Review by Tamara

I had nearly 100% germination on these beautiful beets. My family has never liked beets, but we intended to use the leaves, which are delicious in salads. Just because, we decided to go ahead and let a few of these develop. We are beet fanatics after that first sweet taste and we are sorely regretting not planting LOTS more of these! These will be a staple in both our spring and fall garden, as well as our greenhouse, from now on!.
