This carrot is one of my all time favourites!

Purple skin, Orange flesh, with a Yellow and/or White Core. It has a fantastically sweet flavour and always sold out at market. It would grown about 7" in length and between and inch and one and a half inches in diameter. The greens however were not strong, so it was difficult to bunch.

I even chopped up one of these and brought it in to sample during a job interview..

I grew these last year for the first time. Yield was not as good as the Scarlet Nantes or White Satin, but the flavor was superb! My two grandsons loved the color choices. The younger one liked the white carrots best and his brother loved the purple because they, 'sort of tingle in my mouth'!This comes from a kid who doesn't eat many vegetables! I will plant them again and try the yellow and red varieties too..

Great tasting carrot that was simple to grow, the color threw people off but the taste blew them away.
I grew these in a raised bed and pretty much just left them alone to do what they wanted and they grew great..

tastes great, look great. i think people get kinda bummed to find out they're orange on the insides. furthermore, i'm just not the best carrot grower even with a raised bed. i feel kinda indifferent about this one..

I have grown these for several years, they seem to be a very consistant variety. We mix them with other colored carrots for stir frys, Its just so beautiful.

Normally I can't seem to grow carrots. I am at 7600 ft and they don't do well. These were great. They took a while but when they came in I had a lot of canning to do. They also taste good- for carrots!.

My Wife & Kids Only Want Purple Carrots Review by Joshua

Last year, I planted the Atomic Reds, Chatenay, White Carrots & these purple beauties. Everyone in my house wanted these and were upset when all of them were harvested, leaving only the non-purple carrots to be eaten. You know a carrot is pretty tasty when 2 & 3 year old boys get excited at the sight of them being pulled out of the ground..
