REAL TASTE Review by ALBERTA GARDENER

We have a GARDENGATE MARKET & planted these last year. When they are harvested the fragrance from the ground is superb. If they are eaten raw or cooked the flavor is distinct. If we can get them when they are about 1" or slightly smaller they are great to put into a roasting pan with a great roast.
The grandchildren are delighted when they find a nice small one on their plate. Makes my day!
They are planted again this year..

Perfect early carrot Review by Geling

I loved this carrot, when it finally was ripe. Actually I was too impatient and picked several to you, although they were still delicious. Great with garden peas and baby potatoes. I will probably grow this one every spring..

Kids loved these Review by Tanzi

We grew 7 different types of carrots and these were by far the favorite of the kids. I had some that we didn't pick in the summer/fall as they were too small and we are now picking a the ones that wintered over in the ground in northern Illinois. Fun to be harvesting in April :).

Great tasting and easy growing carrot, will definately order more this year and give out to some friends.
We roasted what few we grew with a little olive oil and rosemary and the kids were fighting over them..

Delicious Carrot Review by gmay

I received this free sample of carrots from Baker's Creek. I had just harvested and had some space. So I decided to plant them in August. I put them in the ground and just let them go. A good amount of them came up. I picked here and there up until Mid December (I live in central Pennsylvania), and it has been a cold winter so far. They made it through the frost and I had a few that were almost 3 inches wide. I cored out the center and stuffed it with brown sugar and butter. Then I wrapped it in tin foil and baked it like a potato. Delicious!! And I will be growing these again..

Love These Carrots Review by Garden Girl

Overall Rating

For the past year I've been on a theme of growing every carrot but the orange ones. Well this was the first orange carrot I've grown in over a year and I love it! The taste was a wonderful, very flavorful, classic carrot taste, with just enough sweetness. This is one I'll grow every year from now on. Houston, TX

Not impressed Review by Lisa

I got a packet of these free with my order. While the flavor is pretty good, they are a pain to peel and really weren't what I would call "uniform". They ranged in size from marbles to almost tennis ball sized and there were a few that were carrot-shaped while most were round. The tiny ones were a pain to try to peel, but really needed it too with lots of root hairs on them. This is not a variety I will purchase in the future..

Yum and easy to grow Review by Alicia

We got a package of these free like many others. I threw them in and was surprised at their success in our clay heavy Iowa soil. They grew very well and their flavor is great. We tasted them side by with a local organic carrot and thought the flavor was MUCH better! Will be ordering in the spring :) And they would be a pain to peel, but we just didn't peel them..

Thanks, BC! Review by Michigan Grower

Thanks for the free sample, Baker Creek, I now have a new favorite! I have never chosen a small, round carrot to plant since I like to leave them in my raised beds through the winter so that I can continue to eat fresh. This one held up through the Michigan winter superbly. It's March, and I've pulled the last of them from the ground and have eaten every one. Some were so large and round that I washed them and ate them like an apple! .
