Good Easy Growing Review by AzSedonaGrower
Overall Rating
These plants produce a tonne of berries so be ready. They are also very small with a taste of sweet tomato and a touch of blueberry some days, its hard to describe but good. They don't suck that's for sure and they grow rather well. Some berries have slight differences in flavor but they are all enjoyable. They are worth it to grow and can satisfy. With some work they could be a real success in robust absolute sweetness. If you are thinking about getting some do it! They are super easy to grow..

Delightful Review by Unknown

Super easy to grow from seed, even when winter sowing them. The green berries are poisonous, so don't plant where young children might play unsupervised. The berries are commonly said to be bland, but we found them complex in flavor and quite good fresh from the bush. Even my two young children agree. Taste nothing like blueberries (they are more like a cross between a huckleberry and elderberry), but use them in place of blueberries in recipes like pie, cobbler, jam, and muffins..

Not so great here Review by Unknown

NE Georgia-I grew these for several years(not my choice they seed themselves all over the garden for several years). They germinated really well, grew kind of tall and spindly. The flea beetles absolutely loved them but I still got some berries. The berries were very seedy, flavorless and very small. I added them in with real blueberries in whatever recipe I was making but they really didn't produce much. I believe I am going to try another variety of huckleberry from here and see if I can do better..

Super Hardy Year 2 Results!! Review by Ladis
Overall Rating
All of my wonder berry seeds were accidentally thrown out during drying. Small wonderberry plants shot up all over where ever we spit seeds last year and only after 1 rain in Red poor dry sandy soil in AZ. I moved most into garden plots even after flea beetle attacks when the seedlings were weak they resisted and now are beetle free. Make sure to pinch off flowers when plants are small to encourage more growth. I'm now seeing seedlings everywhere! Plowing through hot dry AZ sun and continuing to grow, Even one that was trampled by pets this year is regrowing from base. Some berries were nice last year with tart sweetness others were just sweet and odd. I will see if I can keep selecting from the sweet tart ones they were decent! Oh and they were prolific with no fertilizer and in plain sandy turns to hard rock after dries soil. Has a spot in my garden from now on no matter where! Seems easy to pollinate as well I will be experimenting with that more this year..

Grow well, resists white flys, easy to germinate Review by Hawaii small garden plot

Love these! Planted mine about a month ago direct sow into pots. got 3 plants from 4 seeds. Seem to do well no matter what happens. We have been having very hot days here in honolulu recently but they never even seem to wilt when the soil drys out. mine are already starting to flower at about 1.5' tall and are resisting the white flys and leaf borrers that are affecting my tomatoes and peppers the best of any plant i've seen. Cute looking bushes, flowers are small and white..

Amazing! Review by FatWhale

These berries are amazing. They produce a good yield very fast (I sowed in late june and got berries by early september), they have a good sweet taste when fully ripe (wait for the berry stem to turn tan) and they lack the slight acetic taste of some tomatos. Also, they do great in my partial shade garden. Hardy. Taste great plain. Be careful though, because the squirrels will eat seeds after sowing..

The unripe (green) berries are poisonous! Review by Jessica

I have a two year old and never would have bought these had I researched them more thoroughly. I'm just glad I found out while the plants are still in the green house instead of after I had moved them to the garden. I'll try them again when my son is much older but this time around the plants are going in the trash. =(.
